Hi, I'm Jo!
I took my first yoga class at 16 years old and continued to practice on and off through my late teens and earlier 20's. Before being a teacher, I worked in the theatre and charity sector.
Yoga became my passion and a great comfort to me so I decided teaching was the way forwards.
In 2014 I received my teaching certification in Vinyasa Flow from Yoga London. A year later I qualified in Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga from the same school and since then I’ve taught over 2000 hours of yoga and completed further trainings with The Yoga Nidra Network, Triyoga, Sally Parkes Yoga and Yoga London.
I jumped straight into teaching upon qualifying beginning my career in London.
I have worked for yoga studios such as Embody Wellness in Vauxhall, Boco Yoga and Pilates in Surbiton and Revive Yoga London. I have offered yoga in the workplace to a variety of organisations including Macmillan Cancer Support, Sense Charity, The Science Museum, The Alan Turing Institute and Qaya Ltd. I was a Course Leader for Yoga London where I trained teachers on the 200hrs and the Pregnancy Teacher Trainings. Now I am so grateful for technology so that I can continue to offer yoga classes over Zoom as well.
I find joy in my teaching when I see my students flourish -
In the moments when the penny drops and you can either see a physical or a mental shift, a moment of empowerment or embodiment or the simple act of showing up despite the challenges and frustrations that can arise. The energy my students bring to the mat keeps me on my toes and pushes me to continue to learn and develop more so that I can continue to support them.
In 2022 I moved out of London with my partner and set up home in East Reading before my daughter was born. I love a good cuppa, a nice chat and could happily spend hours reading about yoga.
Yoga helps me find peace within myself and I’m enjoying finding my own path.
I want to offer you the guidance to breathe deeply and move mindfully in a way that works for you. My classes are created with the philosophy of finding inner and outer balance, strength and wellbeing in a safe and nurturing environment.

Online Classes
Jo's classes online have been such a lifesaver during lockdown! She's always positive and uplifting and meets you where you are in your practice. There's a range of classes but I love the Rise and Shine and the Gentle Yoga, depending on how I'm feeling! Both are invigorating and nurturing with options to adapt poses if you need a bit more heat. I'm so glad Jo's classes are now available remotely and I'd recommend her to anyone looking for an enjoyable, accessible yoga instructor with heaps of experience. Thanks so much for everything you do Jo!

In Person Pregnancy Yoga
I loved Jo’s pregnancy yoga classes so much that I got on the tube for them all the way up to 39 weeks pregnant when I could have just walked 7 minutes to my local studio instead. She has a welcoming and calming presence & gives clear and uncomplicated instruction (so important for pregnancy brain).
Jo has a wealth of knowledge and teaching experience and is able to offer modifications and suggestions to help with pregnancy aches and pains. I knew she was a teacher who could help my pelvic girdle pain rather than cause it to flare up more.
She encourages freedom and provides variety within her classes which allows all fluctuating moods and energy levels to be catered to. Jo also manages to create a sense of community, female support, and empowerment within the room. Last, but not least, her savasanas and yoga nidras are heavenly. I always left feeling both mentally and physically amazing no matter what state I was in when I arrived.

In Person & Online Classes
I’ve been attending Jo’s classes for 5 years and I always come away feeling revived and relaxed. I started doing yoga for the physical benefits and of course I get those - my back is always relieved after a session with Jo - but it’s the sense of mental wellbeing that really keeps me coming back. Jo’s classes balance both aspects perfectly. I love that she always gives multiple options for poses so that I can choose to really challenge myself, stick to what I know or just be kind to myself. There is never any sense of competition and Jo creates a warm, calm and happy space where everyone connects with themselves and each other.
